I am a Realtor; my husband had been working with our bank for months trying get a loan modification on our personal residence. Three weeks before our foreclosure date the bank told us we did not qualify. I was absolutely panicked, I have been involved with a couple of short sales and I know what a mess they can be and how long they typically take to close. A realtor friend told me about Metro Mortgage, I called them and I am so glad I did. Bill met with my husband and I and explained the entire process to us. He was able to get our foreclosure postponed which allowed us time to get an offer on the house. He successfully negotiated the short sale and even got both banks to forgive our remaining balances. I was laid off from my job and had to move out of state to find employment. My house had been on and off the market for two years with out any success. I relisted my property with a realtor who said he used a short sale negotiator. He put me in touch with Metro Mortgage who quickly answered all my questions regarding short sales. We soon got an offer on the house and Metro Mortgage was able to successfully negotiate the short sale. I had a large HELOC on the property. I had my property on the market for several months without any offers. My Realtor told me I had to lower the price below what I owed on it. I as scared to death and had no idea what the bank would do. We finally received an offer, which stipulated we had to us Metro Mortgage as the short sale negotiator. I was very weary of this as was by realtor. I met with my realtor, her principal Broker and Metro Mortgage. It did not take long for us all to realize that they really knew what they are doing and that without them our chances for success were very slim. They successfully negotiated the short sale and got a $150,000 second to forgive the remaining debt. I was certain I was going to have to file bankruptcy before Metro Mortgage entered the picture.
